Jeanette Crosswhite

Jeanette Crosswhite is director of the Arts Education Program of the Tennessee Department of Education. Prior to becoming director of the program, she was a music consultant with the department of education working with music teachers in middle and west Tennessee. Before coming to the department, Dr. Crosswhite was associate professor of music at Milligan College, teaching music methods courses and working with public school students and teachers in the northeast Tennessee area. A graduate of Longwood College and the Music School of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, she earned the Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She also has completed Level III Orff studies at the University of Memphis.
